Since I don't print photos to any extent, mainly just spreadsheets and similar text based material I've been refilling original cartridges on my Canon printer for at least five years and not had any issue.
The colours won't be quite the same as canon originals, but black text prints well enough, and not had blocked nozzles.
Since the printer was about £25 delivered - refurb unit - and 100ml sets of ink bottles are under £5 delivered this has been a rather economical printing solution.
