These guys make 1600# -- 1700# bales.



Custom rates vary by region. MN is the toilet bowl of hay production. Not that the hay is bad but we have some of the lowest hay and custom prices in the country. I charge $13 per bale and won't start the tractor for less than $150.

At $13 it takes 3500 bales to buy a new baler. That is figuring zero fuel/net/repairs. After those expenses it's closer to 7000 bales just to pay for the baler.
