Ripley, Ontario Canada | Pouring concrete was the standard construction method around here 25 years ago, and other than it being a pain to take the bin down, and the steel will rust more, I have never seen any problems from pouring cement. Maybe they didn't do a good enough job getting it to the edge of the bin. I suspect most of the stuff poured here would be fairly wet with lots of sand to make sure it left no voids at the wall.
