SE SD | Thinking a Ford 8630 might make a decent loader tractor but not sure exactly how the powershift transmission in these works. I know you push the lever forward for forward gears and then sideways to upshift or downshift, reverse works the same way moving the lever to the rear. Do you have to start over from first gear when you change directions? Or could I select for instance 6th gear forward and 3rd gear reverse and switch back and forth between those two gears? Using the clutch pedal to move between the direction change I assume. TIA Kelly | |
