| Any time I wire anything with a medium or high draw I use a relay. You can get 2 sealed relays and pigtails from any NAPA. I have part numbers if needed.
All you will then need is fuses (sealed) and then you can use almost any hot source under the dash to power the relays. They don't draw much. That way you only need 2 wires running back fom the dash, not 2 up and 2 back. Also the switches last longer because they carry less load.
Anymore I use the same wiring scheme and have the relays connect with Weather Pack connectors. It makes working on it easier and I have less problems anymore.
For me, the shortest high draw wiring I have, the less problems I have in the long run.
