And some oil can leak back into the intake manifold. When upright it can settle behind a closed intake valve. Waiting for a chance to fill just enough of the cylinder to lock it. That is why hand turning is important and pulling injectors let's the oil out of the exhaust somewhat.
Don't want to think about a tier 4 machine in that situation.
