Western Iowa | Looks like a nice balance of grass and alfalfa. Bet the cows clean those bales up.
I have a field I seeded that way as well. First cutting there was a ton of grass sticking up above the alfalfa. 2nd cutting is ready to cut and looks like a clean alfalfa field from the road. I have only had one shot of rain in between cuttings, so maybe that played into it. I would rather have just a tick more grass, but I suppose as the field ages, the grass will dominate a little more. | |
