NE Miss | Some of the best mama cows we ever had were out of beefmaster bulls. They gave plenty of milk, were easy calving most of the time, and also were often pretty protective of calves. We had an old angus cow from which we raised a heifer from a beefmaster bull. Gave milk and raised a calf like a beefmaster, but almost every year threw a black calve. Always liked to see hers hit the ground. | |
