western iowa,by Denison | looks great LKM! we have been trying about 1 bale per foot-per foot of bunk space per barn -so my 160ft barns with 220 ft of bunk take 1 bale per ft or 220 bales-the narrower buildings are taken less bales-as they seem to dry quicker-on those buildings they have 160ft of bunk-but have not taken the 160 bales a year
Hard to beat wheat straw!
We also chop dry wheat straw for bedding if we are cleaning barns-that works great as its processed and absorbs more
