Check on the front of the engine. 3 or 4 inches above the vibration damper. At least I think that's where the one for a 9600 is located.


By Vibration damper you mean the harmonic balancer? The only thing above that is a cast coolant elbow bolted to the engine block. Does yours have the 8.1L engine? I've read some post that the primary sensor is located inside the injection pump....

My display is showing zero RPM's.. so I'm thinking that could also be caused by a wire short.
