Seems to me, Green Magazine or someone started a serial number registry but that would be mostly collectors, your tractor may still be working. Did you try Googling the serial number and pertinent info? Most auctions list JDs with serial numbers. It may have passed that way. You could ask on here, lots of 3020 owners here. Good luck, it took me 12 years to find Grampa's 60, and that was after it was gone for 20.
