Floater will do less damage. The weight will be spread out better than the pull type. I do it all of the time at work with corn and beans both when we get behind. I have even run in corn and beans that are up with the TerraGator and you cannot tell I was in there.

The only thing you have to watch is if the beans are starting to get their neck out you need to wait until the leaves are out or you will snap the neck and kill the beans. I would rather go into beans with a trifoliate or two out than just the first 2 leaves.
