I saw the same thing at Gulf Shores, AL once. They were reclaiming the beach after a hurricane. A dredge was a mile out and pumped sand to the beach where a couple dozers spread the sand. Two years later another hurricane washed all the sand back out. I'd like to know how long those dozers lasted working in sand and salt water.
