Panhandle of Ne. | Yes, they have us cut back to 13" per year. This is with 200 ft plus of standing water in the hole, wells were set in anywhere from 20-40 feet of water when dug in the early 70's and have never been lowered. Dropping an avg of 2-3 inches per year with some water level rises in wet years. Over 1000 years of water left at current rate of drop. But, they're saving it for the next generation!! Hell of it is, we have to make a good crop just to pay their flipping property taxes which on dry years we need to pump more than the 13".
