Not all o-rings are made out of the same materials, and they react to chemicals differently. I learned that when using WD-40 on some one time, they swelled up to be unusable.
Are you putting Anti-Freeze in the sprayer over winter? Its possible your o-ring material and anti-freeze of choice are not compatible.
