Thirty years ago we had 160 ac of sod killed ready to plant. Used a Yetter planter which was a knock off of the 7000. Didn't close the trench so we left it thinking it needed to dry. Went back a week later and the corn was sprouted and coming up even though you could see each seed walking down the row. Trench never did close up all season.
