So would 10W-30 be appropriate? It runs most of it's duty in spring (40-75 degrees) but on occasion in the winter unloading trucks for 30 minutes. It is always allowed to warm up before use in winter, especially below freezing.
I was surprised at the SAE 30 or 40 in the book, and had an error in the book calling for 40W in cold temps. Book wasn't well written.
