west central Iowa | We upgraded from 7000 to a 1200 pivot 16-30 with Hyd drive. I really like the planter. Have not had to hook up to the rotary hoe since we changed! Not familiar with stacker bar, but pivot has not been an issue. We did change pivot bushings this summer though. I used to work on about 50 Deere planters a year, really got tired of working on my knees. 1200 fully raised is a dream to check seed tubes or work on lower units. Takes 2 people 2 hours to replace all opening discs on 16 row. We have an '08 with manual tongue, rest would have Hyd cyl in tongue. Hyd would be nice, but something else to fix. We fill bulk fill with a 8000# lift telehandler. We drop seed through a scale platform we got from Central City Scale, works great. Pro 600/700 monitor takes a little time to get comfortable with, but when you do, it controls planter very well. | |
