I'm ambivalent about upgrading from Win7. I hit problems in the past when either I or someone I tried to help did an upgrade to a new OS on an existing machine. One elderly neighbor -- who actually had retired from a training career at IBM -- fell down a deep rabbit hole.

I read the post below about upgrading to Win10 and found it helpful, although I still will probably hold off since things are running along peachy right now, plus we have some older software that probably wouldn't make the cut.

That said Engadget posted an item today saying that the end was near for free Win10 upgrades. Here's the link FYI...
