| Last year's slow start in sales transformed into an export program that was 175 million bushels less than the year previous. The US needs to have good sales numbers coming into Harvest because if beans don't get moved in the first four or five months after harvest very few get moved later in the year as the South American Harvest becomes available. So it seems to me like it does mean something to get off to a good start. Of course if our prices are higher than other exporting countries it stands to reason that our sales will stay slow. | |
