You may knock out a few, but I expect them to recover fairly well. I would guess that 5% of mine survived two passes with the disc. I always plant a forage type that is bred for good regrowth potential. Pasja and Vivant are two varieties I have grown. Your pic of the one with the tapered white root looks similar.
