Raven has another style that has been used for years that senses magnets. These are very reliable and the kit comes with four magnets. Two Red and Two Black. The magnets are mounted in an alternating fashion as they are of opposite polarity. The magnets are very strong and the sensor doesn't need to be very close to the magnets. About the only time those failed was when the cable got cut. Even then it was often possible to cut off the bad portion and put a new connector on the remaining cable.
If your tractor has radar on it, it is possible to get an adapter cable and use it with the Raven. Then the setting would be SP2 since radar produces a much faster output. |
