Subject: RE: Grain in Farmer's Hands

Nebraska aka the boondocks
I have one explanation for on farm storage here in west central Nebraska. Last year at harvest a record amount was dumped on the ground. But, that was because a record low amount of trains came at harvest. So this spring the white corn that was suppose to start trucking the end of January to Gavilon had to wait til the end of March because the piles of yellow had to be cleaned up. The moral to this story is we had a record inventory here not caused by way more corn but by chain reaction of way less trains. we are still back logged and could be til August.
