What do You do with all the rust and scale that builds up in the black pipe? Do You put a filter on every outlet? Pipe would be the SECOND to the LAST way I would plumb in airlines. PVC would be LAST. Copper and PEX would be tied for those 2 positions also.
Get one of the kits that are made for plumbing airlines, and You won't be disappointed.
