We had a JD 4630 that we put new drivers on but duals were probably the condition you described. Used for planting and cultivating 12 row equipment, pulling grain cart or wagons and sometimes light disking. If we had another tractor set the same, only with new duals, I doubt we would have seen enough improvement to justify new duals. The major purpose for us with the duals was to help carry the 3 point load and flotation.

If you were doing a lot of heavy tillage with it, then new duals might pay for themselves.
