Subject: RE: Probably some of those "organic" dry beans.

Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow
In 2010 I had a bin of food grade certified organic soybeans to market and the price suddenly dropped to $14. When I asked the local "organic" soybean crusher he bragged that he could buy "organic" soybeans straight from China delivered in for $14/bushel. What could I say to that? The next year when everybody around here stopped growing them he paid $33/bushel if he could get them (and has paid about that since then).
I had two questions: How did he know the beans were really organic and not just "paper" organic? And did he really do his organic dairy producers a big favor by collapsing the supply for local organic bean meal for the next six years?
