If you have a high clearance sprayer the Y drop will pay its way. Spoon feeding corn with nitrogen is the way to higher yields. The Y drop places the nitrogen right next to the plant. Not in the middle of the row. We do 2 pass's and it will out yield the traditional way of applying nitrogen by 15 to 20 bu.
Not to mention the supposed effective N increase, less Lbs of N, for the same crop. |
