We can plant some long rows. Just don't harvest long rows. Last year was 100 bu corn with a ton of diesel and time and money spent pumping to get that. We are surrounded by that awesome ground you are thinking about. We get to look at it and think how easy life would be if that's all we had. We farm a little good ground but most of what we have is bottoms or sandy stuff. Watching nice looking tasseled corn get washed away is no funner than watching it burn up. Throw in no insurance because its all high risk and things get really fun. Moral of the story, grass is always greener on the other side. Everybody has there share of challenges.
