I was watching this thread below.
37.5% seems very lite to me and does not match with a % of production plus some carry over 2014 bushels.
Here's what I heard from a local to my south last week,
55-65% of the corn and wheat left in the bins, normalish would be the most UN-priced.
15-20% on the beans.
Very little new crop sold.
I have been told locally less 5% of producers would use futures or options account.
Manager IMO has a pretty good feel on local acres and crop size as to what's going on out in the country.


So basically you are saying almost every bin in the US is full and un-priced???
Did he mean to say 55-65 of on farm storage is un-priced? That would seem reasonable, but to think that 65% of the corn and wheat is still in bins un-priced seems like a pretty good stretch and doesn't leave much room for beans.
