Coops could trade fertilizer for grain. The values have to be recorded properly at the transaction for tax reasons, but barter could be done in many instances if absolutely needed. It will only happen if they make using money more painful than the trouble of barter. Will barter be outlawed? You cut my hair and I mow your lawn? Good luck with enforcing that. The currency will likely have already failed before it comes to that.
