I bought a new Mcgarlane harrow last year to do the same thing you are wanting to do. It doesn't take much trash to start to ball up even in the less aggressive position. I have found its best use is to have someone pull it right behind the field cultivator. You cant have hardly any trash. I plan on pulling it behind the cultivator again this year.
