40 foot. If you look at the attached research 40 drainage only is the best return on our claypans. . If you are gonna do subirrigation it pays to go to 20 foot. I didn't get a pic of the trench filler as all I had of it was video but it was a hydraulic driven auger on the front of a tractor. By far the best trench filling I have ever been around and it rolled the soil back onto the pipe very nicely and gently.
