Subject: RE: Arizona in Pearl Harbor

Central Minnesota

In 1937  Adm King ran Naval trials of Ships vs air power.

Aircraft clearly could take out ships.

With what all going on leading up to 12/7/41 Adm King was adamant and loudly wanting the fleet pulled out of Pearl and back to the West Coast.

FDR pushed King into the background to try and shut him up.

After 12/7/41 King was brought back as the man to refloat Pearl.

Interesting 5 star job as they are retired at full pay regardless of the CIC wants them around.
