Northwest Iowa | Are you sure those ND numbers aren't total cost? Gov't subsidy pays like 60% up to 80% coverage. The extra 5% to get to 85 is subsidized much less, if at all. That is why there is such a large jump. Of the 3 claims I adjusted for payment this year, 2 were optional units and the other was across 2 counties with separate policies. We have a very good agent so I am spoiled. Your agent should be able to help you decide which is best for you and to help with some of the variables available. Hail insurance is another confusing array of coverage. There are several pages of different hail policies to tailor to your operation. Again, you need to set some time aside o work with your agent. | |
