Franklinton, LA | it is always fun to watch how people react when you describe some of our regional dishes. Today my wife and I ate at Harbor View Cafe in Long Beach, MS. This is our favorite MS Gulf Coast restaurant. I really enjoyed the crayfish monica which is crayfish tails in a creole spiced white creme sauce over angle hair pasta.
Several years back, Bill Smart, a good friend of mine was a Spraying Systems Co. spray equipment distributor in Covington, LA. He would frequently carry visitors from the Wheaton, IL home office to local restaurants. Normally he would tell the waitress to give him one menu and don't give one to those Yankees. To keep them from ordering some bland meat and potatoes dish, he would order some good food. The vast majority of the time they were very pleased with his selections. By the way, his son, Will Smart is now the President and owner of Greenleaf Technologies Spraying Equipment Company. | |
