West Central MN (between MMF and Larson's) | E plants are the only game in town here right now.
Margins are tight but they are occasionally willing to push. There is enough grower movement that we set basis on some for feb. just in case a mini basis cliff develops.
if we do get a board rally I have a feeling basis is going to widen about as fast as the board moves.
Not happy with the board price, but that is why we have a hedge account.
This is western belt. Eastern belt is different game. Eastern belt tight stocks has made the game hard to figure as the carry not great and basis not doing much "here" to move much unless we can get an export program going to make ethanol here work harder for bu.
Current basis -.49 to -.52 and widening. Pushes did exist but are drying up. |
