My take on the cattle markets as this has been going on a long time-when the cattle market starts tradin price wise off the price of corn we will be back to more market discovery-for the last 4 years when corn went up cattle went up-stability in years pass always followed corn price-corn went up cattle went down-corn went down -cattle crept up
Theres still a market for hogs-for a producer-even though most of the hogs are contract fed
There's no control on feeder's and lots of cattle still cash market-My Dad always talked about the Chicago and Omaha markets-he was really excited when fat cattle started getting bought at the local packer-you want to see price difference he said-be at the Omaha market on a bad day in the 1960"s | |
