Subject: Tips for installing wireless bridge - enclosures

Northeast Nebraska
Not sure if a bridge is what you call it or not. Local internet provider has wireless internet. Their equipment is on neighbors grain leg 1 mile away. We want the signal at the house, but the house doesnt have line of sight. So the plan is to have them install their equipment on our grain bins 1/4 mile away from house, then use Ubiquiti equipment to shoot signal down to house. They will provide all required hardware and handle the install, I do need to have an enclosure mounted and ready for them.

I was thinking of just getting a 3R rated enclosure. 20x16x8 for the router and a POE injector to be installed in. Probably plenty large enough, but like plenty of room. I will run conduit to it to provide electrical power.

What are your thoughts?

Edit to add: the nice thing about doing it this way is that it will give us internet access at our bin site should we add cameras or wireless dryer monitoring/control.
