SW KS, near Dodge City | Just that was one of the conversations Dad and I had the most in the last few months. He didn't like my planting dates. (Oct 7th and later usually, do that to miss diseases in continuous wheat, notill.) He wanted me to plant earlier this year. As that was one of the last things that we specifically discussed on the farm, I'm going to make sure it happens. It'll all be in the ground by Oct. 1 at the latest this year, come hell or high water.
Day late and a dollar short, but he'll still see it and hopefully appreciate it. | |
