My dad and I are looking into an LLC also . We both have contracts with CSP just starting with first payment this year 2015 We both have separate operations but farm together and looking to simplify things, and this is where it doesn't sound to simple. Why not if we still rent the ground and sub it to the LLC . Which would keep the operators the same and not mess with payments??
I think this is a place where Ag Talk can and will really help you. I suggest that you really make sure you jump through the hoops and get all the numbers perfect. Find NRCS people who are cooperative and make them think that it is their idea so they help you do it all perfectly right. Keep a very clear paper trail of names and numbers because sometimes there are some who may give information that is not documentable. |
