I know of a farm where the son pays his father's property taxes supposedly. (The son's been know to tell stories).
Heard of some free cash rent in PA from a farmer Frytownfarmer and I met at the Kinze Factory in Iowa on a tour there.
The guy acted like it wasn't a big deal nor uncommon. I don't remember where he was from in PA
I agree it isn't uncommon. I buy Timothy hay from a guy around Gettysburg pa that says he doesn't pay rent on anything...just pays the tax bill and keeps the ground cleaned up and looking good. Only gets one cutting a year though.
