I agree wholeheartedly with Jim. We used to use NH3 with fall strip till. Have now went P&K in fall strips, 1/3 N in the strips ahead of the planter, 2/3 N side dress, 32%. Less total N per bushel and haven't seen any N deficiency, even if side dress is delayed. I want to know where my fertilizer is and that it's there when the crop needs it.
