S.E. Iowa | We got some cull dairy cows and use them for beef. They get bred to a black Hereford bull. They throw pretty nice calves. Lost a cow a week ago and went and got one of these cows. Penned her up and got a halter on her now she is raising two calves. We put here in with a pen of 19 calves that are being fattened so she is getting a lot of grain now. All three are doing good! I like to bottle feed calves but I like cow feeding them with one of these culls better !! :-) | |
