The issue may have been lack of enough extra plot seed. With the massive increase in acres planted of Wyffels, it may have been a supply issue as they sold out of most of their hybrids. Just a thought.

I required 80k kernels per entry for the plot. My trade off for all the work. They told me that was too much. I thought it was a pretty good deal. Next year probably taking it down to 16 hybrids total. 8 early and 8 late with a check ran 3 times. 21 was a bit too much some days to get through, especially when it was hot and the bugs were out. Gonna be COC next year right at the very same site. Really wish I could find another farm to rent so I could replicate it twice. None of my other ground would give a very fair test as it is just too variable or too small of an area.
