The ear weights and sizes you mention are over 90,000 kernels/bushel. I expect kernel weights between 70,000-80,000 per bushel. Deeper kernels make a big difference.
31K harvested population of 17X39 (realistic here under irrigation) can easily give 250-260 bpa.
Are you saying 17 around? Don't think i've ever seen an uneven number around.
