We deep fried for many years, when the fad first started. But peanut oil cost twice as much as the turkey, these days! So we tried smoking one on the BBQ and have never looked back. During other times of the year we will roast one in the kitchen oven. We usually do 4-5 turkey's at various times of the the year.
