I always enjoyed him. Saw him in concert about 40 yrs ago. Great show. His opening act was a new band no one had heard of....though they intro'd a song they said would be release a few weeks after the concert. That band was "The Starlight Vocal Band". 

I always considered JD as more of a country guy rather than folk, but that was just my interpretation.

To the OP, MT Farm (I get it..."empty farm"), why don't you list a couple of your favorite singers/groups so we can judge you? Also, how old are you?
