There are those who gave their lives, ones who have lost limbs etc, and those who live with the horrible memories of being in battle. What little I did seems so small that I have problems with the aspect of reveiving any recognition at all.
Yes, that is exactly how I feel. 8 years in the ND National Guard, volunteered but no tours. No active duty. Served honorably and would still be in if it wasn't so "political". Got tired of the BS and death by powerpoint presentations, especially on beautiful spring/summer/fall days when we should have been outside training (doing our jobs). |
