Learning how to do this (sell yourself) is the one of the more important things in life. You will use that skill in obtaining farms, attracting your wife, gaining friendships, landing a job, building a solid reputation..,

There are two things you need to increase your chances in all of them:

Confidence
Humility

Anyone can be confident and arrogant and you can get places with those two though people will learn to hate you after a while
Being humble does not mean being insecure. Lots of people will see humility and thing insecurity but your confidence will prove otherwise.

In order to have confidence you need a plan. A resume. Numbers to back up what your doing.

Being humble also shows respect. That you know that your better off with whoever working with you whether it's your wife, friend, or potential landlord...

Being confident and humble when attracting a wife means you can pretty much pick whichever girl you want. They are attracted to confidence. Confidence and arrogance can get you a date but confidence and humility will get you married to any girl you want.

Go to your grandpa with a plan, he shouldn't have to ask any questions, you should have it all figured out how financially your going to take on the farm... If financially it's not plausible then why are you dreaming? Go to the banks FIRST with real numbers prepared and being confident in them. Get their blessing first.
Being humble in this situation would be letting your grandpa know that if your uncles are interested you understand that they should get first chance but that you are interested as well

Good luck.
