I've used poly wire and it is junk IMO. Especially if you are in a deer traffic area. You are asking for trouble if you use it. I was tired of having trouble with poly and the smooth metal wire. So I went to using the light barb wire. Gaucho. It doesn't sag very much plus the barbs will stick through the hair on calves trying to crawl under and keep them honest.
